چکیده

Technological developments in diesel engines require improvements to the fuel injection system meet criteria for economical, high-power and efficient combustion environmental regulatory standards. One method that has a lot of interest is changing characteristics fuel, with aim producing optimal combustion. Spray have big role determining quality engines. A good spray can improve atomization homogeneity air-fuel mixture chamber so it produce engine performance low emissions. This study aims determine effect diesel-biodiesel (Calophyllum inophyllum)-gasoline blendandfuel heating on characteristics. The research was conducted variations composition (B0, B100, B30, B30G5 B30G10) (40, 60, 80, 100 °C). Fuel injected atapressure 17 MPa pressure 3 bar. formed recorded high-speed camera 480 fps (resolution 224x168 pixel). In B100 biodiesel, highest viscosity density cause high tip penetration, small angle, velocity. addition oil, gasoline, reduces penetration decreases, angle increases velocity decreases.

Characteristics of carbonyl compounds emission from a diesel-engine using biodiesel–ethanol–diesel as fuel

Characteristics of carbonyl compounds (carbonyls) emissions from biodiesel–ethanol–diesel (BE–diesel) were investigated in a Commins-4B diesel engine and compared with those from fossil diesel. Acetaldehyde was the most abundant carbonyls in the exhaust, followed by formaldehyde, acetone, propionaldehyde and benzaldehyde. Apliphatic carbonyls emitted from BE–diesel were higher than those from d...

Combination of biodiesel-ethanol-diesel fuel blend and SCR catalyst assembly to reduce emissions from a heavy-duty diesel engine.

In this study, the efforts to reduce NOx and particulate matter (PM) emissions from a diesel engine using both ethanol-selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOx over an Ag/Al2O3 catalyst and a biodiesel-ethanol-diesel fuel blend (BE-diesel) on an engine bench test are discussed. Compared with diesel fuel, use of BE-diesel increased PM emissions by 14% due to the increase in the soluble organic...
